Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused Technical Support Engineer to provide technical assistance, troubleshooting, and maintenance for our medical devices. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of medical equipment by working closely with healthcare professionals, service teams, and R&D departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting:

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support for medical devices installed at hospitals, clinics, and labs.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist customers with device calibration, error troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  • Coordinate with the R&D and service teams to report technical issues and suggest improvements.

Installation & Maintenance:

  • Perform installation, setup, and validation of medical devices as per regulatory and company guidelines.
  • Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure optimal device performance.
  • Maintain service records, documentation, and compliance reports.

Customer Training & Support:

  • Train healthcare professionals, lab technicians, and hospital staff on device usage and best practices.
  • Provide technical guidance on device safety, handling, and troubleshooting.
  • Develop user manuals, FAQs, and training materials to assist customers.

Regulatory & Compliance Support:

  • Ensure adherence to healthcare regulatory standards (ISO, FDA, CDSCO, etc.) in service operations.
  • Assist in device recalls, software updates, and compliance audits.
  • Maintain proper documentation of service history and technical reports.

Collaboration & Reporting:

  • Work closely with sales, marketing, and product teams to address customer feedback.
  • Participate in technical presentations, product demos, and exhibitions.
  • Provide periodic reports on service activities, common technical issues, and customer feedback.

Key Skills:

  • Strong technical knowledge of transfusion medicine, blood component separation, and related medical technologies.
  • Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills to engage with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset with expertise in troubleshooting medical equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and software aspects.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to providing on-site support, training, and maintenance.
  • Familiarity with healthcare compliance standards and industry best practices.
  • Willingness to travel for training, customer visits, on-site support, and industry events.
  • Passion for social causes and dedication to the organization’s mission.

Educational Background:

  • Bachelor’s/Diploma in Biomedical Engineering, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. But passion and drive are valued above formal qualifications
  • Certification in Medical Device Service, ISO 13485, or relevant technical training is a plus.
